How to Build a Social Media Strategy: Ask the Right Questions

This is a simple idea generating tool for implementing Social Media in your company. It’s based on new idea generation techniques that I am using in my MBA thesis and its developed from those all important questions: What, Why and How? A lot of people are still scratching their heads about social media and tend to focus on the technology rather than the conversation and human elements of being social. Working with Digital PR Agencies to Seed Content

Here is the impact one PR agency made in the UK. Examples below clearly demonstrate the contrast between impact of Agency’s  seeding campaign for the trailer before release in comparison with a similar film where the PR agency didn’t use our products and services (see Example 2).

To futher compare the two campaigns have a look at the run up to the release of the movie. Example 1 generated far more trailer impressions in the run up to release just compare week 13 (16,000) on the Example 1 and Week 10 (8,000 trailer impressions) on the Example 2. Over half the traffic for the Example 1 has been generated from the embed codes we supplied to the PR agency – That’s 35,000 plus trailer impressions in the run up-to the film launching!

This seeding traffic is highly important trailer views. If we can get the Digital PR agencies to consistently use our embed codes and streaming links we could provide a valuable stats to the distributors that will allow them to see how the film is being received in the run up to release.
